 POWER
The MyChron3 660 is internally powered by two AAA Alkaline batteries, depending on your race schedule, you can expect to get a season out of a set or two of batteries. If the batteries do get low, you will see an advanced warning on the display (batteries not included).
RUNS not LAPS
The MyChron3 660 is a product designed for one purpose and one purpose only and that is Jr. Drag Racing. It is NOT a product used anywhere else. So, we store runs, not laps.
FOUR IS BETTER THAN ONE
 The included jack shaft collar has not one, but four magnets that dramatically increases the resolution and detection of jack shaft speed. What's this mean? It means more precision. To measure jack shaft RPM, two signals are required, the time between the signals is how you determine RPM. With one magnet to detect RPM, the shaft must make at least two complete revolutions to get the first reading. With four magnets, only a half of a revolution is required. This means the MyChron3 660 can detect movement in the first 3" of travel!
 UPGRADEABLE
With your input and our team of over 20 engineers we sure to come up with some improvements over time, when we do - the upgrade is a flash, literally. The MyChron3 660 has flash memory that can be upgraded with a simple patch downloaded from our web site.
NO COPY PROTECTION
Because we do not charge for our software, we don't lock it. This means you can exchange data files, with other racers, motor builders or whomever you wish. Heck, we even encourage you to share the software with others.
NO MORE LOST RUNS
Because the MyChron3 660 automatically stores the run to memory after the coast down, you can head right back to the starting line for the next round of elimination without downloading, without losing data and ready to record your next round.
USB DOWNLOAD
 The MyChron3 660 downloads via an industry standard high speed USB connection. Computer manufacturers started replacing serial ports in favor of USB ports a few years ago. Today, finding a computer that even has a serial port can be a extensive search and then the models to choose from are very limited. Every new computer made in the past few years has USB ports. The M3 660 USB download cable is included.
 WINDOWS XP
The included DragAnalyzer software not only runs on Windows XP, it was built on it. The software also runs flawlessly on Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows 2000. Windows XP, 2000, ME and Windows 98 are trademarks of Microsoft.
YOUR DATA IS SAFE
 The MyChron3 660 has a non-volatile memory, which means it is designed not to lose data. You could power it off, take the batteries out and put it in the shelf for three years and take it down and download it. The only way to clear the gauge is by a menu option or a successful download of data.
