MyChron3 660: Overview

The MyChron3 660 is the best engineered data logging gauge for Jr. drag racing ever made, and we guarantee it! The MyChron3 660 was built for one purpose -- Junior Drag Racing.

The MyChron3 660 boasts state of the art on-screen data review and playback. The MyChron3 660 also features the fastest data sampling and the best resolution of any Jr. drag racing data logger available, logging at least twice as much data as any competing product.

The included Drag Analyzer drag racing software has the features and pre-defined math channels that junior racers use most.

One Smart Gauge

The logic injected into every MyChron3 660 is nothing short of brilliant. The moment you turn the gauge on - it begins recording, that's where the brilliance starts. We have scrutinized thousands of runs to develop a complex algorithm to determine what data to store and what data not to store. The result is; your burnout's and idle time is not stored, what is stored is the pertinent data; a few seconds before your launch, your pass, and your coast down. Precisely the data you need. After the coast down, the data is time and date stamped, committed to memory and stored as a run, and it's ready to go again, all automatically. Or you can now review the data directly on the display, or download to your PC for a more detailed analysis.

Steady Stage

Stage your car with confidence. This is the feature that really has people talking. We knew it was good, but we didn't expect to see people so excited about their RPM reading. - With RPM numbers bouncing around, adjusting the carburetor at the starting line can be tricky, but getting it right is so critical to the reaction time and getting the car to hook up. The MyChron3 660 has an RPM display stabilizer, automatically invoked below 5000 RPM, the RPM stabilizer will slow and average the engine RPM on the display. The result is a much more steady and consistent number for your carburetor tuning. The data recorded and the engine RPM remains unaffected by the stabilizing algorithm.

Real Time Display

The real time display needs differ from those offered in a data review, the MyChron3 660's dynamic display addresses this. In the real time view the Engine RPM's are displayed both in a beautiful graphical form across the top of the gauge as well as a large digital number below and right. Thanks to the RPM Stabilizer, these numbers are smooth and steady. In the lower left is both your cylinder head temperature and your exhaust gas temperature, labeled TC and TE respectively.

Post Run Review

The post run, on-screen data review is where the MyChron3 660 really separates itself from the competition. With the press of a single button, you'll get your maximum engine RPM, maximum jack shaft RPM, maximum temperatures and total recorded run time. But that's just the beginning, press the same button again and the gauge automatically inserts the zero time point into your data and plays the data back in real time. Now showing the same engine and jack shaft RPM, temp values and MPH - all in real time with the time displayed in the lower right. You can stop the real time playback at any time and manually scroll to any time point on the track, the MyChron3 660 records all the values 20 times per second. Grab your time slip, do you want to know what your engine and clutch numbers where at the 60' mark? Scroll to the time point and there's the numbers you want. The 330' mark? Or any other time point in your run? Scroll to that time. Of course this is even further enhanced when you want to download to your PC. Never before was such a feature available on any other instrument, and still isn't.

Drag Racing Software

You're drag racing, not kart racing, so you need drag racing software. While we do make some of the best software available for road racing, we have written new software specific to analyzing drag racing data, Drag Analyzer. We've focused on usability and ease of use, minimizing the number of clicks it takes for you to get the information you need, and get it quickly. The software is included with the gauge and updates are free. Speaking of updates, we have plenty in store in the upcoming months. You can update your software with a simple internet download.

Alarms That Matter Most

What good is a blinking light behind your drivers head racing down the track? What you don't want to do is roll a cold car into the staging lights, so the MyChron3 660 has minimum temperature alarms. The real time temperature displays will flash until they reach a threshold that you define, then they will go solid indicating you're ready to roll in.

Built in Clock and Calendar

We've built a clock and calendar into every MyChron3 660, not to replace your desk clock, but to time and date stamp every run you make. You can however see the current time and date with the press of a button.

Download Any Time

If you are running more than one car, your limited time becomes even more precious. Your pit is brief stop between the staging lanes and staging lights, if you're lucky, you might get a lunch break, which may be your first opportunity to download. Your MyChron3 660 is ready and has all your mornings runs ready to download. Or if you don't have a PC at the track, you can download all your data at home, all broken down, run by run with a time and date stamp.

Store Multiple Runs - Lots of 'em

Every time you make a pass, the gauge puts a time and date stamp on the run and stores it away. No need to download immediately, the gauge will store up to 50 runs. Enough memory to store a days worth of racing, or a weekends, or a week long conference final.

The Fastest Temperature Sensors Available

You've never seen them this fast. The included cylinder head temperature sensor is the absolute fastest responding sensor available. The included exhaust gas sensor is as fast or faster than the exposed tip types, but is a much smaller package.

Run Counter

A maintenance dream. No more digging through log sheets to see how many hits your motor has on it. The MyChron3 660 now has a run counter built in. Couple this with the internal calendar and now at the press of a button you can see how many passes you've made since your last rebuild along with the date.

More Data

The MyChron3 660 records Engine RPM, Jack Shaft RPM, Wheel Speed in MPH, Exhaust Gas Temperature, Cylinder Head Temperature, CVT, Overdrive Percentage and Linear Acceleration in G-forces. All legal by current NHRA rules. The MPH is calculated by jack shaft RPM and gear ratio, CVT and overdrive percentage are producta of engine RPM and jack shaft RPM, linear g-force is a derivative of wheel speed or rate of acceleration. Each channel is recorded 20 times per second (20Hz) for an amazing total of 160 samples per second (160Hz).

Complete System

The MyChron3 includes every possible sensor, a backlight is standard and a USB download cable and software complete the package. Just add two AAA batteries. No hidden costs, no add ons.

The MyChron3 660 measures 4.5 x 3.4 x .9 inches and weighs 10.5 ounces. LEARN MORE
