Mark, the battery life on the MyChron4 is greatly improved, it uses a 9V battery and has better power management, so you should get something like 200 hours on one battery. The MyChron4 will retail for $349 and will be available at the end of Feb. More features and information will be available on our website soon.

That is the base model features and pricing, which looks comparable to the Mychron3. What about the advanced versions features, pricing and availability?

There will only be one model of MyChron4, the base model you see here. To get extra capability, we will have an optional expansion box that will allow you to easily upgrade as needed. The expansion box is expected in mid-march, pricing has not been set on it. The expansion box will give you track mapping, 2 temperatures and speed, similar to the features of the MyChron3 Gold. We'll post more info on it as soon as we know. Thanks for the question!

Thanks for the info on the expansion box. Allowing people to upgrade is a great way to market and sell the product. Looking forward to getting the info.
