Kartfest Midwest
Well its Thursday afternoon and Chad is on his way to Kansas City for the second annual Midwest Expo. I went last year and enjoyed it immensely. I was lucky enough to attend a few of the Heartland series races and got to meet many of the racers and their families. I learned something in supporting that series and that was that so many of the families involved were just so happy to have a great series to compete in and seemed to be having more fun doing it. I think sometimes we all forget just why it was we got started in the sport. Even though the competition was as intense as any series I attend there were a lot of smiling faces to be found. Though there is only one "winner" in each race I believe that everyone wins by being involved in the competition and the thrill of wheel to wheel racing along with the challenges we all face to improve.
Keep up the hard work and enjoy Kartfest. The new season awaits!
