John Thomas McKnight
My "little" brother known to his family and friends as "Johnny T" was killed Thanksgiving Day in a tragic accident. Johnny never met a stranger and was at home anywhere and with anyone. He was a loving father for his daughter Taylor Rae and to his wife Sherrie. Johnny was loved by so many and in his short 50 years he touched many people and left lasting impressions. He had a knack for success and lived life with a zeal and enthusiam which I admired so much. Johnny owned and operated Absolute Golf Carts in Grants Pass Oregon and he was just recently awarded a distributorship for the prestigious Club Car brand for Southern Oregon. He was so proud to have reached this goal after several years of hard work and we all so lucly to have shared in his happiness.
Really what I want to say is that my sisters Karen, Margie, our informally adopted brother Billy Wolfe and myself loved the guy so much and are going to miss him terribly. He was a great guy and terrific brother. We love you Johnny T!

Congratulations Mr Gas Can Man!

Just wanted to say congratulations to one of my long time friend's Rich "Mr B.I.G." Gutierrez who handles the gas cans for the number 48 Hendrick Motorsports car. They won the Winston Cup Championship last night at Homestead Raceway. Rich and I go way back to the days when we both lived in California and traveled many miles on the road together going to races all over the country.
And yes I know its not the Winston Cup any longer but I refuse to give any credit to a company who tops the list in my future "Companies You Dont Want To Do Business With" feature coming soon.
Congrats Rich and all the guys on your team!

Leonids
North America will be treated to a light show from the heavens tonight as the Leonid meteor shower reaches its peak. The strong but somewhat brief outburt should begin around 11:45 EST and continue for several hours. Best place to view the show will be away from bright city lights facing east. Upwards of 150 meteors an hour are possible at its peak.
Put on some warm clothes, grab and lawn chair and some blankets and enjoy one of natures finest light shows!

The Thriller For The Driller!
This year I am going to race I have never been to before. Myself and Scott Jessup from the California office will be at the Tulsa Shootout beginning December 27th. For years past there has always been the conflict with Kart Week in Daytona and due to WKA's cancelling of the Sprint and Road Race portions of that week it has freed myself and Scott up so we figured lets go to Tulsa! From all I have heard this is about as close to the madness that takes place in Tunica MS as it gets. Only at the Shootout they race Minis and Quads along with karts, talk about nonstop action! Cool thing about the event is that it takes place close to the center of the country which I just dont seem to get to enough so I plan on meeting many of our customers and being able to put a face to the name.

MyChron Mikes Recommended Read

I have read quite a bit on the subject of the Fair Tax initiative aimed at overturing the way we now pay taxes in America. Do you ever think about what you earn and what you actually take home after the goverment gets its share? Its quite sickening and added to that figure is what you pay everytime you buy gas, groceries, clothing and try to save for retirement. The withholding taxes taken from your paycheck are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to taxation on America. To give yourself a real scare why dont you save the receipts for everything you purchase in a 3 month period and total up the taxes along with your income taxes.
Well I have some extra paperback copies of the Fair Tax book written by Congressan John Linder and radio talk show personality Neal Boortz which I would be willing to loan out on a first come first served basis. If youre interested drop me an email @ mc@aimsports.com and I will get a copy in the mail. I just ask that you return it after you have read it and if you think the idea works then tell someone about what you read.
There are many detractors of this plan and I am no expert on the matter but much resistance to the idea will come from those in big goverment who because of our present system hold power over each and everyone of us. Its time we as Americans become truly free to run our own lives without so much goverment control.

Tunica 2006, Get Ready To Rumble!

Just 21 short days reamin before the king of all indoor battles takes place at the O'Reilly Indoor Dirt World Championships in Tunica MS. I have been going to this event for several years now and all I can say is if you have the chance go. Its wild fast paced in your face racing and the action is nonstop from the opening round of practice to the last final usually sometime early the next morning.
I would like to extend my thanks to O'Reilly Auto Parts, Lanier and all the hard working people who make this huge event happen. Also to the many competitors vying for the limited number of spots on the grid.
Look forward to seeing all of you there!
