Kart Data Seminar in Calgary, AB
Overdrive Motorsports will be hosting a Practical Karting Data Acquisition seminar at the Cardel Theater in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday August 6th, 2011. It'll run from 10am until 4pm with a provided lunch at noon. Roger Caddell from AiM Sports will be presenting the seminar.

Karting World Record Attempt
To benefit the national Tourette Syndrome Association - friend and former AiM support engineer, Trey Shannon, will attempt to break the individual world distance record for 24 hours in a go kart. Trey's attempt will take place on October 25th, 2011 at New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana.

Auto racers know that data is an integral part of any winning program, but it can be a challenge to quickly and effectively decipher what it all means. Roger Caddell, of AiM Sports will teach you how to build practical analysis strategies for improving driver performance and car setup. Seminar in So-Cal, July 30th
Roger Caddell of AiM Sports will be presenting a practical karting data acquisition seminar at Empire Karts in Redlands on Saturday, July 30th, 2011. Roger will present the class in two three hour sections. The first, starting at 9:00 AM, and running until noon, will be an intermediate level class. After a break for lunch (provided), advanced level topics will be cover from 1:00 PM until 4:00.

The Kart Show

AiM Sports will be attending the 2nd annual Kart Show in Concord North Carolina this weekend. The Kart Show kicks off Friday morning for 2 full days of everything new in 4cycle karting along with intense racing action Friday and Saturday night. Also featured will be the largest ever "indoor" pyrotechnic display and live music featuring some of Nashville's young and upcoming stars.
Come on by the Cabarrus Arena in Concord this weekend to catch all the action!

Performance Racing Show

Just 12 days until the start of the annual PRI Show in Orlando Florida. This year AiM is proud to debut 3 very exciting new products. The DavVid2 video data logger gets a complete redesign with onscreen display and HD camera built in. And a radical departure from the standard video camera concept will be the new SmartyCam with built in GPS which can function as a standalone video camera recorder or interface with many common ECUs as well as AiM data loggers. We will also introduce to the racing community a sports training watch called MyTach. The watch will offer many features to aide in monitoring your workouts.

Data Seminars in Buffalo Grove, IL
In preparation for the June Sprints, Precision AutoResearch is presenting two 'Race Intelligence' seminars at Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove, Illinois on June 13th and 14th, 2008.
Friday's seminar is a Level 1 and is targeted at racers and mechanics who "have a new system or are considering buying one, this session will be very useful to get started properly and quickly. Comprehensive orientation of the new Race Studio 2 software (setup and analysis) will assist long-time AIM users." This course runs from 12:00 PM on Friday until 7:00 PM.
Saturday's Level 2 course is "intended for existing AiM system data users looking to become advanced users, the techniques and tricks presented are applicable to other data analysis systems as well." This course begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday and finishes up at 4:00 PM.
Both courses are hands-on, racers and crew members are encouraged to bring their laptops.

Data Acq Seminar @ California Speedway, June 6th

Kart Expo International

"MyChron Mike" McKnight, Chad Brackens, and Aaron Byrd from the AiM Sports Virginia office, along with Roger Caddell from Victory Lane Data will be exhibiting our wares at the 16th Annual Kart Expo International, presented by Sodi Kart.
The show kicks off Saturday morning at 9:00 AM to trade, and noon to the public, the show runs through 4:00 PM on Sunday. This years show is again at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois - just outside of Chicago. Roger Caddell will be giving one of his great "Getting the Most from you MyChron" seminars at 1:00 PM on Saturday.

Mid-America Speedway Series

The Mid America Spedway Series kicks off its 2008 season with its 1st Annual Awards Banquet at the Kansas City Airport Marriott Hotel February 16th. Awards and prizes will be handed out to all the champions along with recognition for all who took part in year one of the highly competitive series.
I will be in attendance and offering a 30 minute talk on how to get the most from your MyChron products as well as answer any questions you may have. I will also be happy to update firmware for any of you who care to bring your MyChron4's with you. This would be a great time to get your gauge updated to the most current firmware prior to the start of the season.

KartFest 2008

4 Cycle Karting's largest trade show takes place this Friday and Saturday at the Hickory Metro Convention Center in Hickory North Carolina. Trey, Devan, Aaron and myself will be manning the booth. Thrilla for the Drilla, Part Deux

Tons of excitement awaits as I prepare for my second annual trip to Tulsa OK and the 23rd annual Tulsa Shootout which I fondly refer to as the "Thriller for the Driller" The race features kart's,quads, micro's and mini's and will normally reach over a 1000 total entries. Last year was my maiden trip and it was huge. I am sure that this year will be more of the same.

All of us at AiM would like to wish our customers, dealers and friends a wonderful holiday season. Our offices will close December 22nd and reopen January 2nd 2008.

Seminars in Chicago
Precision AutoResearch will be holding level 1 and level 2 data acquisition seminars early next month in the Chicago area.
Level 1 is titled Introduction to Data Acquisition and is aimed at those new to data acquisition and for those who are considering the benefits of a data acquisition system. The course is designed to get attendees up and running quickly. The course covers an overview of data acquisition and its benefits, installation, organizing data and fitting it into your race day, and will offer a basic introduction to data review and analysis.
Level 2 is titled Data Analysis Techniques and Tricks and is targeted for those looking to take the next step in data analysis. The level 2 course will help in establishing a data analysis strategy, prioritizing and grouping of data, building and using math channel calculations, and comparing multiple laps and tests. The session will also dive into the unique functions of Race Studio 2 as well as cover special sensors and their use. Also covered is analyzing data with video with the AiM DaVid system, and a complete section on using PAR's proprietary RaceDataPower software.
It's noted that while the seminar will use AiM data acquisition systems and software, the seminars are open to users of all systems, and all will benefit.
If you are in, around, or can make it to, the Chicago area on the dates below, it will be well worth your while.
Level 1 offered Saturdays November 3rd, and 10th.
Level 2 offered Sundays November 4th, and 11th.
