MXL Firmware Update v14.86.45

MXL firmware update v14.86.45 is available for download. This update contains only one significant change and that is to the predictive lap timing algorithm. Predictive lap timing with an MXL is now VERY good!. This new algorithm will be rolled into other devices in the coming weeks.

This new firmware was race tested last weekend at Miller Motorsports Park with many competitors in MX-5 Cup, Grand-Am Koni Challenge, as well as the Miller Mustang Challenge series - and the responses are exactly as we hoped - they loved it!

You can download the new MXL firmware, and revision notes here.

The <a href="http://www.smartycam.com"target="_blank">SmartyCam is finding it's way to retailers across the US and Canada this week - it has been released!! Along with the SmartyCam release is a rev to SmartyManager.

Version 1.01.04 is available now with the following improvement:

More SmartyCam Updates

The, yet to be officially released in the US, <a href="http://www.smartycam.com"target="_blank">SmartyCam received more updates this morning. Again, new firmware and new software.

The SmartyCam firmware rolls to v1.00.20, which extends the stability of the v1.00.16 just before it. Version 1.00.16 was rock solid in standalone mode, but had some intermittent problems when connected to an MXL. That bug has now been squashed with the new v1.00.20.

Another rev for SmartyManager, the software for previewing a mounted camera, and configuring the graphical elements on the resulting SmartyCam video. Version 1.01.03 is available now with the following improvements:

Added new video objects tab group

Fixed bug in saving configuration choices before transmission

Both the new SmartyCam firmware and SmartyManager software can be downloaded here.

Given the recent stability refinements of the SmartyCam, the SmartyCam is only days away from being released in North America. Shortly thereafter, the remarkable list of additional SmartyCam features will be added.

SmartyCam Update

<a href="http://www.smartycam.com/pages/movies_gallery.htm"target="_blank">

The, yet to be officially released in the US, <a href="http://www.smartycam.com"target="_blank">SmartyCam has some updates available as well. New firmware and new software.

The SmartyCam firmware rolls to v1.00.12, which builds upon stability of the v1.00.10 just before it. Version 1.00.10 seems to have completely done away with any lockups of the SmartyCam LCD. This new version corrects the h.264 header information that allows for videos to be cut anywhere without the need to retain the first two frames.

SmartyManager, the software for previewing a mounted camera, and configuring the graphical elements on the resulting SmartyCam video, has been reved to version 1.01.02 and addresses the following issues:

Fixed bug in new upper bound values and level indicator

Improved custom logo and its preview

Single combo for unit measure to set boundary and value

Fixed bug when exiting application during on-lin preview, SmartyCam now returns to normal state

Both the new SmartyCam firmware and SmartyManager software can be downloaded here.

Given the recent stability refinements of the SmartyCam, the SmartyCam is only days away from being released in North America. Shortly thereafter, the remarkable list of additional SmartyCam features will be added.

[UPDATE 04-Sep-2009] Just received, and posted, SmartyCam firmware v1.00.16
